At the tail end of the summer, I was lucky enough to book the show Barnum with Skyline Theatre Company in New Jersey. It was a relatively quick process and we only had one weekend of performances. Before being cast in this production, I hadn't really listened to the score that closely, but I am kind of glad it was new to me. I could go into the rehearsals with a fresh take on everything and discover it for the first time with the team of actors and creatives. It was a wonderful blur of a contract. I met great personalities with lots of talent and a wonderful director and an awesome choreographer. I also learned to walk on stilts five days before we opened which was incredibly fun. Although it was brief, it was a hoot to "Join the Circus" with a cooky bunch of kids.
